"Vered Gallery in East Hampton hosted a star studded reception for horse enthusiast Delfina Blaquier, an Argentinean photographer with polo in her bloodline, whose archival metallic chromogenic prints measure 60 x 72 and larger. In honor of the Hampton Classic Horse show Vered, East Hampton’s first and premiere gallery, is also showing additional equine artwork by Steven Klein, Andre Masson, Elisabett Gudman and Kirk H. Slaughter along with their renowned collection of modern and contemporary artists from Avery and Avedon to Warhol and Wyeth. Tropical storm Earl did not diminish the attendance or the spirits of the polo fans that came to support Delfina including producer Marty Richards, Kelly Klein, Neil Hirsch Polo player Nacho Figueras."

Who is Delfina Blaquier?
Delfina Blaquier Frers is an Argentine socialite, photographer, fashion businesswoman, and former high jumper. A youth athlete in the 1990s, Blaquier competed internationally in the women's high jump. She was a gold medalist at the South American Youth Championships in Athletics in 1996, a silver medalist at the South American Championships in Athletics in 1997, and a two-time gold medalist at the South American Junior Championships in Athletics in 1997 and 1998. In 1998 she placed eighth at the World Athletics U20 Championships. This experience traslated into her photography, and began to exhibit her work in galleries and 2007.
