Chilhuy & Kisch
Reception: Saturday, May 26th 2007
World famous Vered Gallery, in East Hampton, presents "Steel & Flowers + Glass & Flowers" The works of Dale Chilhuly and Gloria Kisch. The perfect kick-off to this year art season in the Hamptons.
The juxtaposition of the flowers, glass versus metal, shows two sides of the interpritation of nature. Different, yet drawn from the same creative well, both Chihuly and Kisch's work is individually unique. Placing them together allows for spectators to gain a deeper appreciation of their unique natures.
Gloria Kisch was an American artist and sculptor known especially wall sculptures, and her later large-scale work in metal, sadly she passed away in 2014. Dale Chihuly is hailed as one of the greatest glass artists in the world, creating large scale pieces that can be found around the globe. He still creates his work to this day.
